Terms of Use
Effective: 20 October 2026 · Lumi desktop app by Overpowered Studios ("we", "us")
These terms are an agreement between you and us about using Lumi. By creating an account or using Lumi you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Lumi.
1. Your account
Give us a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. One account is for one person. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Lumi on your own computers for personal use. If you bought a lifetime licence, it lasts for as long as we offer and support Lumi, and includes updates we release to that version line; it does not mean we must keep the product or its online services running forever. You may not resell, rent, share your licence or account, remove licence checks, or redistribute Lumi or its artwork and sounds.
3. Your own Google Gemini API key
Lumi's AI features use Google's Gemini API with your own API key. You are responsible for getting the key, for any charges Google bills to it, and for following Google's Gemini API terms and usage policies. What you send through your key goes directly from your PC to Google; we don't control Google's service, its availability, its prices or its answers.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Lumi to break the law, to harm, harass or deceive others, to create content that infringes others' rights, to attack or overload our services, or to try to reverse-engineer, crack or bypass licensing. AI replies can be wrong: don't rely on Lumi for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
5. Features that act on your PC
Some optional features (screen look, watching together, computer control, webcam, power actions) only work when you turn them on and ask for them. You are responsible for what you ask Lumi to do on your computer.
6. Payments and refunds
Prices are shown before you buy. Purchases are processed by our payment provider. Unless the law where you live says otherwise, you may ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing us; refunded licences are deactivated.
7. Ownership
Lumi, its characters, artwork, sounds and software belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of them.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Lumi and delete your account at any time (Settings → More → Your account). We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, after telling you where reasonable.
9. Disclaimers
Lumi is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Lumi in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and tell you in the app or by email about important changes. Continuing to use Lumi after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in India have jurisdiction, without taking away protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
